Group AM driving licence
Group AM is for drivers who want to drive as young as 15 years old. However, these are vehicles with speeds of up to 45 kilometres per hour. For two-wheelers, there is a restriction of internal combustion engine capacity to 50 cc or with an electric motor up to 4 kW. For three-wheelers, this is set to a petrol engine up to 50 cc and other engines up to 4 kW.

Group A1 driving licence
You can drive a motorcycle with or without a sidecar with a Group A1 licence. The internal combustion engine must have a capacity of up to 125 cc and a maximum power of 11 kW. Three-wheel motor vehicles can have a maximum power of 15 kW.

Group A2 driving licence
You can drive a motorcycle with or without a sidecar with a Group A2 licence. There is a higher age limit and a maximum engine power of up to 35 kW.

Group A driving licence
With this licence, you are legally allowed to drive any motorbike with no power limit and three-wheeled vehicles with a power output of more than 15 kW.
Conditions for the driver's licence
- age 24 years
- A Group A licence can also be granted to a person who has attained:
a) 21 years of age, if the licence is restricted to three-wheel motor vehicles; or
b) the age of 20 years, if that person has held a Group A2 licence for at least 2 years.

Theory
- 1. The applicant has held a Group A2 licence for at least 2 years. The theory is not compulsory.
- 2. The applicant does not hold a Group A2 or A1 licence at all.
- 4 lessons: teaching of vehicle traffic regulations
- 2 lessons: teaching driving theory and safe driving principles
- 1 lesson: teaching medical training
- 1 lesson: revision and test
- 3. The applicant has held a Group A2 licence for less than 2 years or has held a Group A1 licence.
- 2 lessons: teaching of vehicle traffic regulations
- 1 lesson: instruction on vehicle operation and maintenance
- 1 lesson: teaching driving theory and safe driving principles
- 1 lesson: teaching medical training
- 1 lesson: revision and test
Practice
- 1. The applicant has held a Group A2 licence for at least 2 years. He/she may undergo training to the extent agreed with the driving school and pass only the so-called supplementary test, which is carried out to the same extent and in the same way as the practical driving test pursuant to Section 42 of Act No 247/2000 Coll.
- 2. The applicant does not hold a driving licence of category A2 or A1 at all.
- 13 lessons: driving training

- 4 hours: practical training in medical training
- 3. The applicant has held a Group A2 licence for less than 2 years or has held a Group A1 licence.
- 7 hours: driving training
- 1 lesson: practical maintenance training
